Margaret Maggie Browne, talented Cape High student

April 8, 2021 Margaret “Maggie” Lynne Browne, 16, of Rehoboth Beach, formerly of Wyckoff, N.J., passed away tragically Tuesday, April 6, 2021, following an ATV accident.  She was born Dec. 1, 2004, in Ridgewood, N.J., beloved daughter of Dr. David M. Browne and Dr. Monica (Mazza) Browne.  Maggie was a sophomore at Cape Henlopen High School, where she participated in the Engineering Pathway, with her eyes on fulfilling her dream of becoming an engineer. A talented athlete, she excelled in track and competitive cheerleading, belonging to the CC Champs of Waldwick, N.J., and the Shore Pride Allstars of Millsboro.  When not on the mat or at the track, Maggie excelled in the classroom and had a fierce love of reading, gravitating toward mythology and historical fiction.  Her passion for books was infectious and she began sharing her love of reading with her nephew Charlie.  She enjoyed music and movies, and spending time at the beach with friends. Estelle Nuebling, had adventurous life

April 5, 2021 In her early 20s Estelle Nuebling went skiing in Switzerland. One night she stayed out too late and got locked out of her hotel. Not one to shy away from an adventure, Estelle had her friends throw her the end of a sheet to pull her in through the window.           On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at the age of 68 and still full of the spirit of adventure, Estelle grabbed hold of her next big adventure, this time going into the afterlife. Born in Shenandoah, Pa., to Charles and Stella Bokus, Estelle loved many things - traveling the world, skiing the highest mountains, riding the fastest horses, and holding the biggest parties. There was nothing she loved more though, than her family. Estelle went out of her way to find ways to spoil her four grandchildren. Being with Mia, Brenden, Kyle and Emily was where she was most happy.

Robert Gould Macintire, retired river pilot

April 5, 2021 Robert Gould Macintire passed away on his 87th birthday Friday, March 26, 2021. He was born March 26, 1934, in Lewes, son of the late Howard Franklin and Fredonia (White) Macintire. Bob loved everything about Lewes. His ancestors settled in Lewes in the 1600s from Holland. John Clowes, one of his ancestors and a lawyer who lived in Milton, was an officer in the Revolutionary War. Bob was a Delaware River & Bay Pilot for 39 years. His other love was bees, and he was a Master Beekeeper and a lifetime member of the Eastern Apicultural Society. Bob was also a former president of the Sussex County Chapter as well as a Mason for over 50 years with the Jefferson Lodge of Lewes.
