Accor is bringing its Hyde Hotel & Residences brand to Mexico, announcing plans for a newbuild property on Mazatlan s Zona Dorada.
The arrival of the brand in the Pacific Coast destination is seen as another milestone for Mazatlan as it continues to invest millions in its tourism infrastructure.
The 75,277-square-foot, beachfront property will break ground in 2021, with an expected opening date in late 2023.
The 150-room lifestyle resort will have a range of accommodations options for leisure and business travelers, including 23 suites. As the name implies, the property will also have a residential component consisting of 50 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units.
Former Cub Juan Pizarro has passed away

Sometimes guys play a long time in the major leagues and have good but not great careers and then are forgotten.
Thus today I want to remember former Cubs lefthander Juan Pizarro:

Pizarro, a native of Puerto Rico, pitched in the major leagues from 1957-74, and parts of four seasons (1970-73) with the Cubs.
