Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has today welcomed Minister Micheal McGrath’s update in relation to Gender Diversity on State Boards
Senator O’Loughlin said, “There is a plethora of evidence that shows Boards are most effective when they are diverse in their make-up, bringing different views, and experience to the decisions making process.”
“State Boards have huge responsibility and have control over very significant levels of taxpayer money. We know that Boards with greater gender diversity are more likely to take better decisions, to safeguard the effective use of those funds.”
