Govt can’t circumvent law for displaced Dorian voters, Dames says Marvin Dames.
While Minister of National Security Marvin Dames said yesterday that the government will “abide by the law” as it relates to voters displaced by Abaco and Grand Bahama, he gave no indication that changes to the law are being considered to accommodate those affected.
“The law is pretty clear on that and we can’t circumvent the law,” he said told reporters outside Cabinet.
“…The law is really clear on persons who would have been out of their jurisdiction for I believe it’s six months and how they ought to be treated.
