TEMESA increases internal income collection
THE Tanzania Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics Services Agency (TEMESA) has increased its internal income collection from 4bn/- in 2006/2007 financial year to 54bn/- in 2019/2020.
Dodoma by TEMESA Chie Executive Officer Japhet Masele.
This was disclosed yesterday in Dodoma by TEMESA Chie Executive Officer Japhet Masele when presenting his report on the agency’s activities to the Parliamentary Infrastructure Committee.
Masele said the increase has allowed TEMESA reduce dependency on the government in its operations, as well as being able to contribute to the Consolidated Fund every year.
“For instances in the 2018/2019 financial year we contributed 1.13bn/- to the Consolidated Fund while in the 2019/2020 we contributed 1.22bn/-,” said Masele.
