The commission of inquiry into state capture has heard that a lack of parliamentary oversight is to blame for the rampant corruption at state-owned enterprises.

Former chairperson of Parliament s Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) Themba Godi appeared before the commission on Monday.
Godi said while Scopa was diligent in executing its duties, politics interfered with Parliament s efforts to hold the executive to account.
