Ukraine s President meets EU, Lithuanian leaders in Vilnius

VILNIUS, July 6 (Xinhua) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived here on Tuesday for a two-day official visit. He met with Lithuanian and European Union (EU) leaders and on Wednesday he will attend this year s edition of the annual Ukraine Reform Conference. On Tuesday, Zelensky met with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda and Parliament (Seimas) Speaker Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen. Congratulating the Lithuanian people on their national Statehood Day, the Ukrainian president called Lithuania a reliable and committed partner of Ukraine. Zelensky noted that although the two countries do not share a border, they have common values, interests and aspirations.

Zelensky also met with Charles Michel, president of the European Council, to discuss preparations and bilateral priorities for the 23rd Ukraine-EU summit, scheduled for Oct. 12, 2021.
