The Warrior’s Weekend Buses and the caravan will tentatively arrive at Navarro/ Salem between 3:30-4:00 pm on Friday, May 21st from the Field of Honor! The caravan route will travel south on Navarro and will take a left on Rio Grande, a right on Laurent, and head towards Bloomington.

This year s Warrior s Weekend Veteran Field of Honor
flag posting is set for this Saturday morning at 9 AM at Parkway Church. It was originally supposed to take place last weekend but was moved due to inclement weather. If you need any information or would like to purchase a flag for the Field of Honor, click here. They are also still looking for volunteers to help out on Saturday morning. Warrior s Weekend First Responder & COVID-19 Front Line Medical Workers Field of Honor II will run from October 9th-21st, also Parkway Church.

Wearing masks and their Sunday best, about 150 people gathered for Easter worship at Elmwood Park.
Though normally this calls for an indoor service, the need to social distance brought them outside.
“It’s part of the Easter story,” Greene Memorial Methodist Church Pastor Joanna Paysour said. “Easter happened outside. The first telling of Easter happened outside. So it’s a perfect setting.”
Ann Swank agrees that this year’s celebration was the best one yet.
But bringing a bit of the past, Swank showed off her 10-year-old Easter bonnet with colorful eggs surrounding a baby chick nestled on top.
