The president s report will be very brief. I want to congratulate all commissioners on Technology Skills and being able to get on the call and i want to thank the public for participating remotely. We are trying our best under these circumstances. I want to congratulate all staff and general manager for all of the work getting done during these challenging times, particularly in the broader sense of assisting the mayor and community in trying to solve the broader problems. Emergency declared due to covid19 and the City Commission and chamer will is closed. The mayor and governor have issued emergency orders suspending select laws and to boards and commissions hold hearings remotely. On april 3, 2020, the Planning Commission received permission to convene remotely and pertaining to infrastructure, housing, and Small Businesses. This will be our seventh remote hearing. Further more, the Mayors Office authorized the Planning Commission to meet jointly with the recreation and Park Commission later this afternoon. I am requesting everyones patience inned a vance. Situation and perhaps program the fund at the end of 2020, when we have a much Bigger Picture and reflect this in the new midyear budget we plan to bring in june and the annual budget later this year. We have, however, in the meantime been engaging with key stakeholders, such as the sfmta, the department of Public Health, the Pedestrian Safety advisory committee, the bicycle advisory committee, and all of the variation advocate organizations and Community Groups on the guidelines for how the program might be structured and what the process would be for eligibility and the like. Its important for our office to advocate and recognize, and come together and really remember our strength and resilience. As the only acting director of a City Department in the country, i feel like theres a lot of pressure, but working through my own challenges and barriers and even my own selfdoubt, i think ive been try to remember that the action is about helping our community, whether thats making sure the community is housed, making sure they have access to health care, and using kind of my access and privilege to make change. I would like to Say Something about clair farley. She has really inspired me. I was a nurse and became disabled. Before i transitioned and after i transitioned, i didnt know what i wanted to do. Im back at college, and clair farley has really impressed on me to have a voice and to have agency, you have to have an education. Mayor breed has led this effort. She made a 2. 3 Million Investment into trans homes, and she spear headed this effort in partnership w
