Parkinson s Program officially returns to JCC

TAMPA, Fla. â For many of us, it felt like we were sitting around a lot this past year waiting to be active again. However, for people living with Parkinsonâs Disease, sitting around is not an option.
This month the JCC officially welcomes back dozens of classes through The Philip Shayman Parkinsonâs Program.
âThe isolation of COVID, in general, has been particularly difficult with people living with Parkinsonâs Disease,â said Parkinsonâs Program Leader, Pnina Levermore.
The most important thing a person living with Parkinsonâs Disease can do is stay active and all of a sudden they were being told to stay in the house in 2020.
