HOUGHTON The Houghton Planning Commission has set the initial meeting dates for two subcommittees formed at Tuesday’s meeting.

The Master Plan Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. March 9. The meeting can be accessed at us02web.zoom.us/j/89016957872.
The parking deck group will review the year and a half between setting up the request for qualifications for a development on the Lakeshore Drive parking deck site and the Veridea Group’s withdrawal from negotiations in January, and make recommendations to the City Council for what the next process should look like. The master plan group will update chapters 10 (the downtown) and 13 (zoning and future land use).
