The time to pay off any outstanding parking tickets is coming in Louisville. The Parking Authority of the River City will resume booting vehicles with three or more outstanding citations this summer, the group announced Monday.
Come July 1, any vehicle that gets cited for a parking violation, such as an unpaid parking meter, for a third or more time will be booted. Tickets issued before the pandemic will count towards the three.
Booting was paused in Louisville in March 2020 as the city began to feel the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, PARC Director Tiffany Peebles said in a statement.
The move to bring back booting vehicles is a sign that more drivers are heading out to the city s entertainment and restaurant districts, she continued.
