Meghan Lee, Client Service coordinator for VON in Strathroy, realizes this year will be a change for VON in the area, as they are unable to do their usual March for Meals event, in which area dignitaries and celebrities deliver meals to residents unable to cook or shop for themselves. However, the show will go on with Meals on Wheels where they highlight a program that has continued amidst the pandemic, and is still looking to grow.
The Hot Meals program runs Monday-Friday in Strathroy. Meals are prepared at the Strathroy-Middlesex hospital, Parkhill Foodland, Prince George in Lucan and Four Counties Hospital in Newbury. Call 519-245-3170, extension 233, to register with or register a family member with the program.
This February 23rd will mark Canada’s Agriculture Day. A day which marks a special celebration for farmers. The day was originally started in 2016, and has since evolved into a day where people all across Canada are encouraged to celebrate Canadian agriculture in any way possible.

The Middlesex Federation of Agriculture is going to be handing out burger buns on Saturday, February 20 at Dorchester Foodland, Lucan Foodland, Parkhill Foodland and Glencoe Foodland.
