Effingham closed out the “weird” “unusual” season with a perfect 5-0 record after making the long road trip to Lincoln and coming home with the 43-6 win. But it was not without overcoming some adversity. As this week we learned that senior QB Nate Thompson was going to be out with a broken hand, suffered last week against Mt. Zion. So that meant that 6’0 junior Noah Jones got the start and well his night did not start out the way you would want it too. On his first pass attempt of the season and his varsity career Jones threw an interception but i would say Jones and the Hearts rebounded nicely.
