Whether the weather be frightful or delightful, you have an upcoming opportunity to get outdoors and be an active participant in a holiday-themed event.
The newly formed North County Trail Association’s Central Flyway Chapter and the Audubon National Wildlife Refuge have partnered up for a self-guided hike to celebrate the “12 Days of Christmas” and “12 Gifts of Nature.” The event is set for Dec. 25 through Jan. 6, 2021.
It has all the makings of a very fun event with a several stops along the way that will depict the various presents emblematic of the celebration. According to Glee Mayer, Minot, event organizer, there will also be a protective shelter on the route should conditions be such that hikers may want to take a break from unfavorable weather.
