Instead, he died of a selfinflicted gunshot. Fremont Police Answered a call for assistance from east Bay Regional Parks police late sunday. They say perez shot at officers and they returned fire. But the coroner says the bullet that killed perez was his own. A setback for a marauding band of dirt bikers in San Francisco. Police have made an arrest. The man had split off from a group of about a dozen motorcyclists sunday trying to flee authorities. But a chp helicopter watched him ditch his bike. Then hide under car at paul avenue and gould.
