You can see her going in circles. Then trying to get away from the Police Officers when you hear the shots fired as she tries to get away and it ends up the street out there with her death and her being shot and the child in the backseat. Investigators are testing a letter addressed to the boyfriend that contained white powder that carey left at her home. A dentist that she worked for says carey suffered a head injury in a fall. The capitol complex remaining on lockdown after someone crashed a vehicle into officers at a barrier on the north side of the capitol. The suspect jumped out of his vehicle with a knife and was shot by police. Just moments ago, u. S. Capitol Police Confirmed the suspect died at the hospital and the chief made another somber announcement. One officer has died. This incident comes, of course, about three months, just shy of three months after the january 6th riot in which hundreds of people forced their way into the capitol to try to stop congress from counting the Electoral College ballots and affirming joe bidens election. Well, a troubled portrait is emerging this morning of a man who opened fire at the Washington Navy yard early monday morning killing 12 people. The behavior of aaron alexis had come to the attention of authorities a number of times over the years and even before the shooting. He had struggled with reports of Mental Illness. Reports say just two days before the attack, the former Navy Reservist tried to buy an Assault Rifle from a gun store in virginia, but a state law prevented the purchase because he lived out of state. Instead alexis bought the shotgun he used in the attack. The navy yard is two blocks from the capitol. Senator harry reid said he would like to see new gun support law measuring including one that would keep guns from the mentally ill. Anything we can do to focus attention on the senseless killings th
