In the lead-up to Christmas, New Zealand’s network of MIQ facilities were bursting at the seams with returnees, and spaces remain extremely limited until March. The briefing says the Ministry of Health s position is confirmed cases in the community should go to a quarantine facility, such as the Jet Park Hotel in Auckland, though there is a provision for cases to isolate at home in exceptional circumstances.
