A total of 398 artists and executives, including the team behind the film "RRR" and several Indian names, have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). The class of 2023 is diverse, with 40% women and 34% from underrepresented ethnic/racial communities.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has extended 398 invites to artists, directors and executives to join its organization this year. About the invites: The Academy, which sent the invites on Wednesday, noted in a recent press release that the invitees were chosen based on “professional qualifications” and the Academy’s commitment to “representation, inclusion and equity.” Team "EEAAO": “Everything Everywhere All at Once” actors Ke Huy Quan, who won the best supporting actor award at the Oscars earlier this year, and Stephanie Hsu, who was nominated for a best supporting actress award at the award ceremony, were among the 398 individuals invited by the organization.
The "RRR" team, including actors Ram Charan, Jr NTR and composer MM Keeravaani, as well as filmmakers Mani Ratnam and Karan Johar are among the 398 artistes and executives who have received invitations to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). The list, however, does not feature the film's director Rajamouli.
