Mark your calendars!
Well, here you go, what a great way to celebrate Father s day and the forthcoming first full week of summer. Sunday, June 20th, is Maine Resident s Day, and that means free admission to our beautiful Maine State Parks and certain Historic sites!
For that day, any vehicle with Maine registration plates on it and it s occupants will be admitted free to places like Lamoine State Park, Camden Hills State Park, Popham Beach State Park, Swan Lake State Park, Fort Knox in Prospect, and many others.
Residents of Maine will receive free use of the park from 9 a.m. until closing that day. Normally, an admission is collected at the gates and fees vary anywhere between $3 and $7, depending on the park.
As parkers arrive at the facility, the
M4 PGS helps them easily navigate the garage, indicating where spaces are available on each level. Utilizing
color-coded LED lights, the M4 sensor indicates which spots are open and directs parkers to these specific spaces. This intelligent system enhances the user experience by significantly reducing the search and park times for guests while streamlining traffic and relieving congestion to ensure the facility operates at maximum efficiency.
As visitors prepare to exit the property, the guest-centric Park Finder software module utilizes
LPR (license plate recognition) technology to ensure that they can quickly pinpoint their vehicle. Guests can simply enter their license plate number into a Park Finder enabled kiosk, and the Find Your Car™ locator searches a database of parked vehicles in the garage, identifies the correct license plate number and corresponding vehicle, and provides step-by-step directions to get to the car.
