Adolph Imboden for decades offered a classic dish as an answer to a classic winter day in Park City.
In an homage to his Swiss upbringing, the namesake Adolph’s Restaurant specializes in fondue. The comfort food and other Swiss dishes are the specialty of the Kearns Boulevard restaurant, long a popular destination for Parkites looking for a high-quality option off Main Street.
“Fondue first, because it’s an experience,” Imboden said on Monday, describing the dish as something that visitors to mountain resorts seek, and adding, “It’s something you have in a ski resort.”
Park City Mayor Andy Beerman during the recent State of the City address inquired about eras of housing affordability. The cost of housing has long been monitored by City Hall officials as rank-and-file workers became priced out of the resort-driven real estate market.

Some Parkites long for the 1990s, an era of spectacular growth as the area, at the same time, prepared for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Others in Park City, though, prefer the first decade of the 2000s, largely defined by an especially hot economy in the post-Olympic years prior to the recession of more than a decade ago.
