Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator wants to make sure our roads are safe for law-abiding citizens and he s not playing around. That s why this Friday evening, Good Friday, April 2nd, 2021, Caddo Parish is holding a safety checkpoint. I think it s safe to say we all know that it s never okay to drink and drive. Adulting can really stink at times, but it s on us to make sure that before we start drinking we have a sober driver lined up or a rideshare app ready to go on our phones.
This Friday s safety checkpoint will be held in northern Caddo Parish from 10 pm to 2 am at an undisclosed location. Prator s office says the checkpoint is intended to make parish roads safer and reduce traffic deaths and injuries by identifying alcohol and drug-impaired drivers, seatbelt violators, and other traffic offenders. The policing is a part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign and law enforcement will show zero tolerance for drunk or drugged

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Three people are facing charges following a DEA investigation into the alleged distribution of methamphetamine in Shreveport.
Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator says John Bernos, 37, and Coralee Clotiaux, 31, were on a motorcycle on I-20 near Monkhouse Drive Wednesday, Feb. 24 when they were stopped for a traffic violation. Both reportedly had outstanding arrest warrants.
During a search, the sheriff’s office says Bernos was found to be in possession of about 43 g of meth, 39 g of marijuana, several hundred dosage units of lorazapam, and a vial of steroids. Clotiaux was reportedly in possession of about 108 g of meth and 27 dosage units of unidentified pills.
