(WAFB) - Deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) say they are currently conducting a joint investigation with the Denham Springs Police Department into a recent rash of car burglaries in the area after a homeowner was allegedly shot and injured by a suspect late Sunday, May 9. The shooting happened around 11 p.m. Sunday in the 7000 block of Florida Boulevard near Denham Springs.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff s Office said that 28-year-old Trace Pigott and 53-year-old Tommy Ray Pigott were both taken into custody in New Orleans at separate times and are awaiting transportation to Livingston Parish in connection with the killing of Jason Baglio.

Investigators say Darrel Lee, 47, used a messaging app to communicate with a girl about meeting at her house on Feb. 13. Her parents got suspicious and called the Livingston Parish Sheriff s Office. Lee was arrested before he could see the child. Lee was booked with indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor and was released two days later on $75,000 bond.
