A staple of the Arcadia/ Oshtemo/ Knollwood neighborhoods and a go-to laundromat in Kalamazoo is closing its doors. Clean Getaway Laundromat On W. KL & Drake posted a picture on their door announcing that effective April 5th, they ll no longer be in business. The sign reads:
To our valued customers, this Clean getaway laundry location has been sold and will be permanently closed April 5th, 2021. We appreciate your loyalty to our business throughout the many years.

This is just one of the many closures we ve seen recently and now Kalamazoo wiil unfortunately lose another place to do laundry. One resident was worried for the Cork Street laundromat, and urged people to take their clothes there after hearing the owner fell on hard times as well, saying:
