A total of 11 memoranda of understanding with an investment commitment of Rs 23,389.43 crore were signed on the inaugural day of the three-day 24th CII Enterprise Odisha. Once the projects are implemented, employment opportunities will be created for 15,168 people.

There was an enchanting atmosphere of devotion as people across Odisha showcased unwavering love for Lord Jagannath and rejoiced in the successful completion of Parikrama Project, inaugurated in Puri on Wednesday. People were glued to TV sets and LED screens put up in towns and villages to watch the live telecast of the grand event as the state government announced a holiday for all government offices, school and colleges to mark the occasion. Devotees conducted a variety of activities bhajan gatherings, ‘kalash yatra’, lit lamps and prayers to celebrate the inauguration.
Security has been tightened in Puri for the inauguration of the heritage corridor project. The project aims to transform Puri into a world heritage city. Five-layer security arrangements have been put in place. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other dignitaries will attend the event.
