Online antenatal classes are proving popular in the top of the south and the antenatal educator says there are only benefits to moving the traditional courses from classroom to couch. Before the global pandemic hit, Nelson Marlborough Health ran a five-week course with a two-hour night class but all that changed just before New Zealand went into lockdown, ending all face-to-face interaction. Pregnancy and Parenting educator Kelly Mahuika said going online has allowed her to share her knowledge without time constraints and made the course more accessible.
