Residents of Kudlu, Harlur, Harlakunte, Somasunderpalya, Parangipalya, and a few localities in HSR Layout have a smelly neighbour – the
Karnataka Compost Development Corporation (KCDC). And they are never allowed to forget it, because the assault of the bad odours from the compositing unit hangs in the air, all the time. Not just the smell, but they think it is a health hazard as well.
