HOSHIARPUR: Sikh Youth of Punjab along with other youth groups took out a motor cycle rally to express solidarity with jailed farmers and activists including Disha Ravi and Nodeep Kaur in Hoshiarpur.
They criticized the Narendra Modi government for adopting “stubborn and hawkish” attitude on farmers demand to repeal all three contentious farm laws.
The groups urged the farmers unions to stand like a rock behind those who have been arrested and those who are on run as they all participated in the Tractor March on January 26 on their call.
JALANDHAR: Dal Khalsa and its allied groups have declared “the Protesting Farmer” as the “Person of the Year 2020”. Releasing their poster in this regard in Jalandhar on Monday, they said that the protesting farmers had shown the way and courage to challenge the regime of the mighty Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his policies.
Explaining the rationale behind their decision, Dal Khalsa spokesman Kanwar Pal Singh said when the government of India enacted three contentious farm laws, the farmer dissented and demanded its withdrawal and they did not withdrew even when the answers came back in the form of tear gas, water cannons and batons.

Hoshiarpur: Dal Khalsa has dedicated this year’s World Human Rights Day (WHRD) to the rights of farmers and political prisoners from Kashmir to Punjab to central India.
To commemorate the 72nd anniversary of Rights Day, the Dal Khalsa leaders released the poster in this regard during a press conference held here today. They demanded the release of those prisoners, who were framed in false cases due to their political belief and ideology beside those who have completed their jail term, alleging that their detention was illegal.
