Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has installed and commissioned Param Pravega, its latest supercomputer installed under National Supercomputing Mission (NSM). It is claimed to be the largest supercomputer in an academic institution. It is said to have a total supercomputing capacity of 3.3 petaflops (1 petaflop equals a quadrillion operations per second). Most components of Param Pravega have been manufactured and assembled in India.
