Corruption scandal splashes Venezuelan opposition leader
Caracas, Jan 23 (Prensa Latina) Revelations about a new corruption scandal today involve opposition leader Juan Guaidó in another episode of dispossession of Venezuela s assets abroad, under the authority of a non-existent interim government. The Chief of Staff of the Presidency of Paraguay, Juan Ernesto Villamayor, this week disclosed details of secret meetings held in November 11, 2019 with Guaidó spokesmen to negotiate the 300 million dollar debt of the company Petróleos Paraguayos (Petropar) with the state-owned Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA).
Villamayor showed documents in which Javier Troconis -illegally appointed by the self-proclaimed president in charge of recovering assets abroad- agreed to the offer of the Paraguayan Executive to reduce the acquired debt by 50 percent, reported the research and analysis portal Mission Truth.
