When Joe Burbank, of Braintree, took his dog, Hercules, to the park in Quincy on Sunday, he put on a mask, but then put it back in his truck when he realized they were no longer required as of Friday. It s a step toward going back to normal, he said.
Burbank said he will still evaluate when to wear a mask outside on a case-by-case basis. Although he is vaccinated, masks also give other people a peace of mind, especially in outdoor group settings where people still may not be comfortable with those who are unmasked.
