it s regional. it s regional. that s why it seems like soda and pop. sort of just like that except for whoever says pop. i do. moving on. let s talk about reading fundamental. apparently that s what a lot of people are doing electronically over at amazon because they say this is the first time that they ve seen the electronic books, the ebooks outselling paper back sales on amazon.com. in the u.s. here specifically. these amazon or ebooks, you can read them on the kindle and on your iphone or ipad. they are not just for that one mode there. but they are saying if you take a look at this for every 100 paper books, 115 ebooks are being sold and that s just since the beginning the year. also take a look at this. they are saying for every three kindle ebooks you ll find amazon sells one hard cover book. of course that s for this year
actually literally having these tangible goods of pens and books and crayons and such? well, certainly, at first, it s going to be an additional expense. we hope that over time, as we re able to switch to online textbooks, which are cheaper than paper books, the ipad will pay for itself. and jim, explain to us, if kids or say if a family does an ipad of their own, are they allowed to use their own, or is it strictly through the rental program? not at all. we re offering the lease to own, basically, for those people that would like to pay over time. if they want to buy their own ipad, if they already have an ipad, they are more than welcome to bring that. and again, you say this is coming up for the new school year, beginning in august. correct? that s correct. exciting times. and we wish you the best of luck and we ll have to revisit you in the upcoming school semester to find out how this is working out for you. thank you very much. that s going to wrap up this hour
