A 51-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car at Km 6, Jalan Lama Papar-Kota Kinabalu, on Friday. Papar District Police Chief DSP Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka said the incident occurred about 3.40pm when the motorcycle suddenly entered the opposing lane – into the path of a Perodua Myvi that was headed to Lawas from Kota Kinabalu.
“It is believed that the victim was attempting to overtake a few vehicles. The Myvi driver attempted to avoid the motorcycle by swerving slightly to the left. However, due to the short distance, the deceased ended up hitting the front right of the Myvi,” he said
