Mexico sends bodies of 16 migrants found massacred along smuggling route back to Guatemala, which declares 3 days of mourning
The Mexican government on Friday repatriated the bodies of 16 Guatemalans who were massacred January 22 in Camargo, Tamaulipas
The victims were part of a group of migrants who were bound for the United States and were found shot and severely burned in a pickup truck
Three other Mexican nationals were also murdered in the attack
The remains of the migrants arrived at La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City
12 state police officers have been arrested in connection with the killings
