This was the stern warning issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) after “fake” text messages and social media posts about the schedule of Pantawid Pamilya payouts and list of beneficiaries who will receive the cash grants have been circulating.

In its Facebook post, the DSWD’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program cautioned more than 4.3 million household-beneficiaries of the 4Ps against falling prey on circulating fake text messages and Facebook posts that spread false information about the government’s poverty reduction program.

DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao said if needed, they will not think twice about leading discussions on the suggestion made by Presidential spokesman Harry Roque during a taped meeting with President Duterte aired on Tuesday, May 18.
“We appreciate the suggestion of Spox (spokesperson) Roque. We are ready and willing to hold a dialogue regarding the suggestion, if needed,” she told the Manila Bulletin in a Viber message.
She maintained that the 4Ps household-recipients numbering to more than 4.3 million will be fully informed of the country’s vaccination program.
“Again, at present , we are empowering the 4Ps beneficiaries by providing the necessary information to guide them arrive at informed judgement or educated choice for them and their families,” Dumlao said.
