STATE police are willing to help the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) trace the whereabouts of cosmetics entrepreneur Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruzzaman, better known as Nur Sajat, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Acting Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said JAIS had yet to officially contact the police for assistance in the matter.
It was reported that JAIS had raided Nur Sajat’s home in Section 10, Kota Damansara at about 9pm on Sunday but was unable to locate him.
The well-known entrepreneur is wanted by JAIS for failing to show up at the Syariah High Court to answer charges for dressing up as a woman, which is frowned upon in Islam.
