MANILA - The Board of Investments (BOI) reported the agency is already cleared from the Commission on Audit (COA) report that it has undistributed personal protective equipment (PPE) donated by China's Panhua Group as of end-2021. In a press conference on Friday, Trade Undersecretary and BOI Managing Head Ceferino Rodolfo shed light on a news report published June 7 that the "BOI failed to distribute donated PPEs", using a 2021 COA report. Rodolfo said COA cleared the agency on the issue last March. This, as the donated PPE from China with the BOI as the recipient for health care workers are non-medical grade. MANILA, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) The economic and trade cooperation between China and the Philippines had achieved tangible results in 2020, creating jobs for the Filipinos and effectively promoting its economic recovery, said Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Huang said in the first 10 months of 2020, China remained to be the Philippines largest trading partner and largest source of imports while leaping to its second-largest export market. According to the data from the Philippine side, the Philippine monthly exports to China in September and October increased by 43.3 percent and 12.7 percent year-on-year respectively, showing a sound momentum of growth, he added.

MANILA – Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian on Tuesday said their economic and trade cooperation with the Philippines “achieved tangible results” in 2020 despite the challenges brought about by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.
In a recorded statement, Huang said the economic cooperation between China and the Philippines has created not only a large number of jobs for Filipinos but is also promoting the economic recovery of the Philippines as it strives to “become an upper-middle-income economy by 2022”.
He said China remained the largest trading partner and source of imports in the first 10 months of 2020 and the second-largest export market of the Philippines.
