Kohima Apr 21 (UNI) In Nagaland, 97 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected on Wednesday; with this the total number of positive cases in the State now remained at 12,747.
Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister Pangnyu Phom in his regular tweet informed that there were 97 new COVID-19 positive case in Nagaland today and these are 49 cases in Dimapur, 46 cases in Kohima, one case in Mokokchung and one case in Tuensang. He also informed that there are four patients were recovered today and they are all from Phek.

Nagaland s COVID-19 tally surged to 12,363 on Sunday as one more person tested positive for the infection, Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said. The state now has 134 active cases, while 11,980 people have recovered from the disease, 91 patients have succumbed to the infection and 158 have migrated to other states, he said. Kohima has the highest number of active cases at 123, followed by 10 in Dimapur and one in Tuensang. The state has so far tested over 1.37 lakh samples for COVID-19.

COVID-19 case in the past four days, Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said on Wednesday. The coronavirus caseload in the northeastern state remained at 12,225. Seven people from Kohima were cured of the disease during the day, taking the total number of recoveries to 11,973, he said. The recovery rate among coronavirus patients in the state currently stands at 97.93 per cent, Health and Family Welfare Director Dr Denis Hangsing said.
Nagaland now has seven active cases - six in Kohima and one in Mokokchung- and 91 people, including 10 with comorbidities, have died. He said 154 patients have migrated to other states. The state has so far conducted 1,34,419 sample tests for COVID-19, he added.
