Shenango Reservoir Ice anglers are catching panfish at the local areas. Avoid venturing out on the ice alone. A reminder that Shenango Reservoir is now designated as a Panfish Enhancement Lake. Crappie must be nine inches to harvest and the creel limit is 20.

A trio of small lakes recovering from recent water drawdowns in Central Pennsylvania were given new fishing regulations by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission in a virtual meeting on Monday. For all 3 lakes the new regulations will take effect after they are published a second time in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
The lakes are Opossum Lake near Carlisle in Cumberland County and lakes Perez and Whipple in Huntingdon County.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (January 25) – During its quarterly business meeting held virtually on January 25, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) announced several changes to the upcoming 2021 trout season, including opening day dates and stocking operations.
These changes, effective immediately, include consolidating the 2021 season into a single, statewide schedule for all Pennsylvania counties; beginning trout stocking operations earlier than usual; reinstating limited volunteer opportunities for trout stocking operations; and releasing a schedule of trout stocking dates and locations. All changes were made by the PFBC in consultation with the Office of the Governor, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to address ongoing public health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic while preserving the opportun
