Days after model and actress Arya Banerjee was found dead in her Kolkata residence, police have ruled out the possibility of homicide. As per the post-mortem report, Kolkata police has confirmed that no foul play was involved in her death.
Kolkata Police Joint Commissioner (crime) Murlidhar Sharma told news agency
Indo Asian News Service that Banerjee was suffering from cirrhosis of the liver and she had consumed alcohol before passing away. He said: It was not a case of homicide. Alcohol was found in her stomach at the time of her death”.

Bollywood actress Arya Banerjee aka Devdatta Banerjee who worked alongside Vidya Balan in the film âThe Dirty Pictureâ, was found dead at her apartment in Jodhpur Park, South Kolkata.
Arya essayed the role of Shakeela in the film.
According to a report by Times of India, Aryaâs body was found covered in blood when police arrived at the scene.
The house help who worked at Aryaâs residence called the police when the actress didnât receive any calls. The officials then broke into the house and found Banerjeeâs body with her nose bleeding and vomiting.
