Warangal: The spread of Coronavirus has reached dangerous proportions in erstwhile Warangal district following the conduct of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) election by the state government while ignoring public health. The State Election Commission’s directions to take all safety measures to avoid the spread of Covid-19 were ignored. Campaigning was carried out in huge groups with zero regard to physical distancing.

Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao holds review meeting
Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Rural Water Supply Errabelli Dayakar Rao directed officials to ensure daily drinking water supply to every home in the purview of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation, starting from Ugadi this year.
Conducting a review meeting with officials of Municipal Administration & Urban Development along with Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar in Warangal on Wednesday, he asked them to work in a planned manner and conduct trial run for the project on March 1.

The party is high on Dubbaka by-election victory and also captured 48 divisions in the recently concluded GHMC elections. Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy on Friday said that BJP s next target will be GWMC.
After hoisting the saffron flag in the party office at Jangaon, Kishan Reddy, addressing the BJP leaders, asserted that people are fed up with the dictatorial and corrupt rule of KCR. He further added that winds of change were blowing across Telangana.
