For someone searching for a Cape Cod seasonal retreat, this $699,000 Wellfleet condo flanked by Wellfleet Harbor and Duck Creek is like something out of a fairy tale. It s part of what they call the Lemon Pie Cottages and it s a rare find because they don t come up for sale very often, said Pamela McNulty, a real estate agent from Cape Cod Oceanview Realty in Wellfleet. The last time one of the 16 waterfront cottages in the Wellfleet Harbor Condominiums Association development sold was in 2014. The cottages originally had steep peaked roofs and were painted yellow, leading someone observing them from the water to note that they looked like slices of lemon pie, according to an account from the Wellfleet Historical Society. The nickname stuck, even after the cottages were rebuilt with a lower profile that gave them more stability in storms.
