The results from the 100 Radon Test Kit Challenge taken by some Chatham-Kent residents this past winter shows one in six homes tested have radon levels above the Canadian guideline.
Chatham-Kent public health, worked in collaboration with Take Action on Radon, a Health Canada-funded organization, for the first time to test for the radioactive soil gas that can build to dangerous levels in indoor air, making it the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers.
