The Oklahoma Home and Community Education Genealogy Group will host Pam Kirkland at 10 a.m. Jan. 20 for a look at how Ancestry.com works.
“Using Ancestry” will touch on some of what is available on Ancestry.com, what assistance is available and its ability to connect with others. Ancestry.com gives access to documents, many with images, and has basic records like U.S. census information, births, marriages and deaths that can be searched. Ancestry.com allows a person to build family trees or search other researchers' trees for help. Ancestry DNA also will be explored during the presentation.
Kirkland has been teaching and researching family history for 40 years.
