South Florida law firm The Markarian Group recently named local education and civic leader
Alexandria Ayala as its director of communications and community engagement, continuing the practice’s longstanding commitment to improving the quality of life for area residents. Ayala, the first Hispanic woman to serve on the Palm Beach County School Board, brings a decade of experience in community advocacy, government and legislative affairs. “Alexandria’s Palm Beach County involvement and governmental knowledge made her the perfect person to lead our community engagement efforts,” said Dave Markarian, managing partner of The Markarian Group. Raised in Palm Springs, Ayala graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in journalism studies.
