A NORTHWOOD man in breach of a suspended sentence, had an autistic meltdown and hurled homophobic and sexist abuse at police, stabbed at a door and spat at an officer. Keifer Brenchley, 23, of Pallance Road, appeared before the Isle of Wight Crown Court for sentencing on Wednesday. Previously at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court, he admitted two counts of common assault, possession of cannabis, and using threatening words or behaviour. Prosecutor, William Saunders, how on December 4, five police officers attended Brenchley s address to arrest him for a separate matter. Mr Saunders said when police arrived, they were refused entry, and spoke to Brenchley through a window.
