Belfast-born Palestinian Khalid El-Estal has spoken of his joy at being reunited with his two children in Ireland after they fled Gaza following the death of their mother.
Khalid El-Astal's two young children Ali (4) and Sara (1) have been added to a list of Irish citizens and their dependents that can leave Gaza into Egypt today.
Khalid El-Astal (30) was born in Belfast and recently lost his wife in Gaza. As the first Irish citizens are being allowed to leave, he is now hopeful his two young children can cross the border within days.
Belfast-born Palestinian Khalid El-Estal (30) spoke to the Irish News just days after his wife died in Gaza. Back in the city of his birth for the first time in 22 years, he is now appealing for help to bring his two young children to safety.
