Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has called for a collective effort to bring an end to the violence in Palestine.
He made the remarks while speaking at a dinner hosted by him at the Pakistan embassy in New York for foreign ministers of Turkey, Sudan, Tunisia, and Palestine. They arrived in the United States Thursday morning ahead of an emergency meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.

ISLAMABAD:
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi strongly condemned on Monday violence by the Israeli forces against innocent worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
This was conveyed in a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the country’s top diplomat received the Ambassador of Palestine Ahmed Jawad AA Rabaei.
While conveying his deepest sorrow and condolences for the innocent victims of lethal attacks by Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) in Gaza and the West Bank, Qureshi categorically condemned the IDF’s continuous and indiscriminate attacks that have resulted in the martyrdom of over 140 Palestinians, including 39 children and 22 women, and injured more than 1000.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi left Islamabad for New York on Monday night to attend the emergency session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on the issue of the latest Israeli assaults on Palestine, sources said on Monday.
According to the sources, the foreign minister will travel to the US via Ankara. On way to New York, he will be accompanied by the foreign ministers of Turkey, Sudan and Palestine.
