NEC finalises contract for Palau Cable 2 subsea cable Sign in with LinkedIn 18 January 2021 | Natalie Bannerman NEC Corporation has signed a contract with the National Submarine Cable Utility Belau Submarine Cable Corporation (BSCC) of the Palau Republic (Palau) for the Palau Cable 2 (PC2) subsea cable project. Spanning 110km in length and due for completion by the end of 2022, PC2 will connect the island of Palau with a high capacity subsea cable that connects Southeast Asia and the US mainland. PC2 with deploy a optical wavelength multiplexing transmission system of 100Gbps, and bring much-needed redundancy to Palau s existing subsea network. In addition, it will deliver highly reliable communications and responds meet the increasing need for communications infrastructure in Palau.
