The Palace of Aigai, a United Nations World Heritage site, where Alexander the Great was proclaimed king, has reopened to the public after a 16-year, US$22 million renovation.
On Friday, the 2,300-year-old Palace of Aigai in northern Greece was fully reopened. Its reintroduction to the world is part of a 16-year renovation that has cost more than 20 million euros.
